The Spotters compete in the “all breed” version of sighthound coursing; Fast Cat/Sprinter, and Coursing Ability tests.

Nosework

Dock Diving

Weight Pull

Weight pull is one of the fascinating sports where your dog REALLY has to want to do it. It is nearly impossible to cajole a dog into pulling any significant weight. Fortunately, Hazzard LOVES weight pull.

Conformation

A competition against the “ideal standard” for the breed, we believe Conformation competition is critical as part of “proving” a dog. Balanced, sound conformation is the foundation for a sport dog.

Obedience

We believe obedience is the foundation for all other sports. Learning to focus and work around people and dogs is critical.

Barn Hunt

Harnessing a dog’s ability to scent combined with their prey drive, Barn Hunt allows them to search for rats (who are safely contained) amongst bales of hay.

Hazzard: RATN

IGP

Hazzard, Peril, and Murdie are all casually training in IGP/IPO. Random and Danger worked on their obedience in the more formal and precise IGP style.

Random, Hazzard, and Danger have all completed their BH-VT, the combined temperament and obedience test.

Agility

The perfect sport to highlight their athleticism, agility combines running, weaving, and jumping with the control to execute a course in order, and under the time limit.

Mushing

Harnessing their strength, endurance, and love of running, mushing sports are excellent for conditioning, exercise, and bonding.
