“Murder” (Murdie, to her friends) is our first made-from-scratch addition! From our Cabin in the Woods Litter, Murdie is a Hazzard x Danger puppy. She caught my eye at 4 weeks and what I was seeing was substantiated by our good friends from Brightspot Dalmatians when they evaluated the litter at 6.5 weeks. After receiving the great news that Murdie was bilaterally hearing at our BAER testing later that day, it was official! She was staying!
Murdie started her conformation career with a BANG! Her first show was in Novice Puppy for UKC at the tender age of three months. It was a very special experience to walk into the ring for the first time and walk out with BEST NOVICE PUPPY IN SHOW!
Murdie followed this up with several Best Baby Puppy in Group and Best Baby Puppy in Show for CKC, and collected one last UKC Best Novice Puppy in show before being old enough for “real” shows.
Her first time in the ring she took Best of Breed!
Murdie, Peril, and I went down to Michigan for the Dalmatian Club of Greater Detroit Specialty and were THRILLED when Murdie won Best in Sweeps and Winners Bitch for her first AKC Major!

Murdie finished her CKC Championship in Feb 2023 and is now focused on performance sports. She is a very focused dog, eager to learn, and a ton of fun to train!
In addition to training for a number of different performance events, Murdie is part of the OSARC team as a Human Remains Detection (HRD) dog. I had been looking for a meaningful way to volunteer - and this is the perfect opportunity. I get to combine my love of dog training and the science of nosework with a chance to help bring closure to families.
We are extremely thankful for this opportunity!
Murdie has been training hard for weight pull and had her first events in May 2023. She quickly finished her first weight pull title (UWP) and is now working towards the next one!
